Jack Gartside

For Jack, joining Witty, Pask & Buckingham is much more than starting a new role; it is the fulfilment of a childhood ambition.

His connection with the practice began at just nine years old when he attended as a patient following a rugby injury and was treated by Phil Pask. That first experience sparked a fascination with physiotherapy and the difference it could make to people’s lives. From that point onward, Jack knew he wanted to become a physiotherapist.

As a competitive swimmer, Jack spent much of his teenage years training and competing at national level. During this time, he worked closely with Mark Buckingham and David Bradbrook, gaining first-hand insight into injury prevention, rehabilitation, performance management and the vital role physiotherapists play in helping athletes achieve their goals. His swimming career culminated in qualification for the 2020 Olympic Trials, an achievement that reflected years of dedication, discipline and resilience. This sporting background continues to shape his approach to patient care, giving him a deep understanding of both the physical and psychological aspects of injury and recovery.

Jack graduated from the University of Suffolk with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and has gained experience across a wide range of clinical settings including musculoskeletal rehabilitation, orthopaedics, acute medicine, community rehabilitation and sports physiotherapy. His professional experience includes roles within private practice, rugby union and elite sport, alongside further qualifications in sports massage, acupuncture, dry needling, kinesiology taping and IASTM.

Jack is passionate about helping people recover from injury, improve their performance and achieve their personal goals, whether they are elite athletes or simply seeking to move more comfortably in everyday life. Having spent years aspiring to work alongside the clinicians who helped shape his own journey, he is beyond delighted to now be part of the Witty, Pask & Buckingham team.
