Neurological physiotherapy is the treatment of patients who have a neurological disorder. Neurological disorders are those affecting the brain, spinal cord and nerves. As musculoskeletal physiotherapists we are dealing with the nervous system all the time. We are very skilled in the assessing of the function of your nerves, from when they leave the spinal cord and along their pathway through the body. There are many neurological conditions that require a specialist neurological physiotherapist. Who are experienced in treating patients with conditions such as Motor Neurone disease, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Dementia. We do not offer this service at WPB, but we may be able to advise you of a local specialist who can help.

We do however have a specialist paediatric physiotherapist who is very experienced in treating children with neurological conditions. Below are some examples of these conditions.

Cerebral Palsy

Developmental delay

Guillain Barre Syndrome

Head Injury

Motor Neurone Disease

Multiple Sclerosis

Muscular Dystrophy

Peripheral Nerve Injury

Spinal Cord Injury

Please call us on the number at the top of the page and we would be very happy to discuss your condition over the phone. Should you have any queries relating to the services we provide or the physiotherapist that would be best suited to your needs.
