This is most common in athletes / runners. Like all stress fractures there is an underlying cause to the issue like poor technique or changes in training type or terrain.
Often it is a sign of underlying metabolic issues with your bone mineral metabolism. This can be hormonal or nutritional in basis. We work closely with you to resolve the issues in the back once the diagnosis is clear.
We also work with a number of Sports Physicians around the country who are experts in the causes of this type of injury. It is important to recognise and deal with the causes because if you do not the the same symptoms or similar will keep on recurring.
We will work on the underlying biomechanical issues that lead to overloading the spine. This is around posture and gait patterns as well and strength and control when under load.
Our experience with elite runners for many years gives us the experience you need.
