Overview
All the physiotherapists at our practice are Chartered and registered with the Health Professions Council, the UK standard regulatory body for health professionals. http://www.hpc-uk.org .

We have all followed a three year period of study to achieve either a Bachelor Degree or Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy. Many of us have subsequently attained further specialist qualifications in areas of physiotherapy such as:

  • Sports
  • Manipulation
  • Ergonomics.

We have a combined experience of 122 years and each of our physiotherapists have at least 5 years of experience, the average being 12.

To complete the services provided by the clinic we are able to offer the skills of:

  • Two Podiatrists
  • Sports Masseur
  • Pilates Tutor
  • Alexander Technique Practitioner
Continual Professional Development
As a profession we have to undertake 50 hours of continual training and development every two years. However all of the physiotherapists working at the practice take the view that this is the bare minimum and the average work done by us to 'keep up-to-date' is around 60 hours a year. This is achieved by the regular attendance at post-graduate courses, conferences, workshops and seminars both nationally and internationally. We all keep portfolios of our work and regularly discuss the best ways to keep abreast of new developments and techniques at staff meetings.

Further to this we have a monthly in-service meeting where we report back on courses we have attended or invite outside guests. For example Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons such as Nick Birch and Bill Ribbans work closely with us to further develop our post-operative rehabilitation protocols.
