Occupational Health

Written by Mark Brennan

Millions of pounds a year are lost to the UK economy from lost time at work due to musculoskeletal injuries. This is not to mention the stress and anxiety caused to the workers about not being at work.

Thankfully with early and appropriate intervention people are usually returned to work successfully. This intervention includes treatment of the injury, advice on returning to work in the right way and liaising with the employer if necessary to support this. Sometimes intervention in the workplace, such as workstation assessments, can play a pivotal role in recovery and reducing risk of recurrence.
