Integrated Rehabilitation of the Shoulder

Integrated Rehab presents a one day course on the clinical assessment, treatment and late stage rehabilitation of the shoulder complex. The course is an integration of physiotherapy and strength and conditioning principles. This approach to rehabilitation is seen as being the ‘state of the art’ and has been proven in elite sports and clinical environments around the world.
The day covers the theory and practical aspects of:
Fast and effective assessment and treatment techniques for shoulder function.
Strength and conditioning principles and protocols for effective rehabilitation
How to structure a shoulder rehabilitation programme from plinth to the pitch.
What you will be able to do after the course:
Quickly assess shoulder function and identify dysfunction.
Treat these dysfunctions with exercise and manual techniques designed to quickly re-establish normal function
Analyse an individual needs for strength and conditioning of their dysfunctional shoulder
Devise a structured, graded, and safe rehabilitation program for the shoulder with a view to the demands of their particular sport / profession.
Phil Pask MSc, BA, MSCP
England Rugby Team, British & Irish Lions Senior Physiotherapist
Phil graduated from the Queen Elizabeth School of Physiotherapy at BirminghamUniversity. He has had a keen interest in health related fitness since graduating with a Sports Science Degree in 1981 and has combined interest in both areas by obtaining a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy and Sports Injury in 1999.
Phil has taken part in sport at national level in rugby, triathlon and judo. He has been Physiotherapist to the England Rugby team since 1997 including the 2003 Grand Slam Team, the 1999 World Cup and the winning World Cup team in 2003. Phil is also the British and Irish Lions Senior Physiotherapist for the tour to New Zealand 2005.
Mark Buckingham Dip Phys Sports MCSP
UK Athletics and British Olympic Team Physiotherapist 2000 & 2004, ex English Institute of Sport
Mark trained in Bath, specialising in sports physiotherapy with a post-graduate Diploma at the London Hospital. Mark worked for five years at the Arts Educational School in Tring, a leading Dance School and spent time at the Crystal Palace Athletics Stadium Clinic. This led to work with Northampton Saints and the Great Britain Athletics squad. He has attended numerous international competitions as Team Physiotherapist since 1995 and worked at the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Olympics. Mark was lead physiotherapist for UK Athletics at the High Performance Centre at Loughborough and was responsible for setting up the centre's physiotherapy unit. With the advent of The English Institute of Sport Mark became lead physiotherapist responsible for the clinical aspects of servicing two hundred and fifty elite athletes at Loughborough. Following the Athens Olympics Mark resigned from this post but still covers as a consultant physiotherapist to the English Institute of Sport.
Dave Reddin MSc MBE
Dave Reddin has been the National Fitness Coach for the England Rugby Team since 1998, encompassing World Cups in 1999, and the win in 2003, a grand slam victory in 2003 and numerous overseas tours and compeitions. Dave's responsibilities cover all aspects of the physical and nutritional preparation of England's elite players. Prior to joining the RFU and following an MSc at Loughborough University, Dave worked for the Sports Council, providing sports science and conditioning support to 9 different regional and national sports including professional football, cricket, netball, canoeing, basketball and hockey. In 2005 Dave was selected as head strength and conditioning coach for the British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand.
Calvin Morriss PhD
Calvin Morriss is the Assistant National Fitness Coach for the Rugby Football Union. He has worked for the RFU since April 2002 and provided direct fitness support to the England ‘A’ and 7’s teams, but more notably, the 2003 World Cup winning Senior Team. In these roles, Calvin’s major emphasis has been speed, strength and power development. Previously, Calvin was Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for UK-Athletics, which included overseeing the fitness programmes of many Olympic athletes. Calvin also has a Ph.D in Sports Biomechanics, and was educated at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Terms and Conditions
Completion, signing and returning of the registration form creates a binding agreement to follow the course and pay the full fee.
Upon receipt of your registration form and course fee you will be sent a letter confirming your place on the course and a receipt for the course fee.
A full refund, less a £50 administration fee, will be made if written cancellation is received by no less than 3 weeks from the date of the course. No refunds will be made after this date. Course places and fees are non transferable.
Integrated Rehab reserves the right to cancel the course if there are insufficient enrolments. A full refund will be made in this event. Integrated Rehab will not be held responsible for any damages incurred as a result of course cancellation.
